A great art project to get involved with is the Arlington Public Art Youth Initiative! Currently they are holding a call for young artists to create art about their theme of "community"! This is a project which is funded by an Arlington family who suffered a tragic loss of their daughter, Gracie James, who was only 17 when she was involved in a horrific car accident in Utah. The family wants to honor their daughter, who loved the arts, through this project.

OMS Art Agreement: In art class, each student is expected to read over and sign the following art agreement and attach it to the inside cover of their journal. This way each day when they use their journal, they are reminded of the expectations of the art room!
I, , agree to the following:

I will maintain a safe environment for myself and others
Using tools appropriately

Being flexible and open to making changes
I will take care of our studio:
Taking responsibility for your assigned job
Working as a team at your tables for cleaning
